Members of the Cold Furnace team gathered for a conference in San Diego last week. This was an exciting opportunity for team members to come together in person as the company works on producing its first video game, Atrocity: Field of Hands. Cold Furnace uses a partially distributed-team model, and members of the company are scattered throughout Canada and the world.
Attending studio members took some time in San Diego to hone their skills with other like-minded professionals, focusing on technical issues and how best to get our game to market and our player base. This was the studio’s first conference appearance in the US.
Of course a taste of San Diego’s great weather and nearby sites was also on the agenda. Though even the chill out time got a little intense. During a trip through the desert, temperatures hit 112 F!
